College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion Hosts Closing Ceremony for Student Activities
The College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion held the closing ceremony for student activities on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, for the academic year 1446-1447 AH, with the presence of Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qhtani, Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Saad bin Said Al-Qhtani, Vice Dean for Student Activities, and Dr. Jubran bin Yahya Makhdhi, Vice Dean for Student Services. The event started with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a video presentation of the club’s activities during the academic year, then a speech from the college delivered by the Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, and a poetic recitation by student Saeed bin Muteb Al-Zahrani. The event concluded with the honoring of the guests and participants, including faculty members, staff, and students. Here’s to another year of excellence and creativity for our university.

Central Media Club Holds Its Closing Event Celebrating Members’ Efforts
The Central Media Club, in collaboration with the Institutional Communication Club, held its closing event on Wednesday, April 23, with the presence of several academic and administrative leaders. The event included a panel discussion with Dr. Ali Al-Qhtani, Mr. Abdullah Al-Obaid, and Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Sumair on media and public relations in the job market, along with a speech from Dr. Mohammed Al-Huraizi announcing the launch of the King Khalid University Media Team. The event concluded with a recognition ceremony for participants and a special dinner.

Central Media Club Hosts “Media KKU” Event to Promote Media Awareness and Skills
The Central Media Club, under the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the “Media KKU” event on Wednesday, April 23, featuring diverse media booths aimed at promoting media’s role in community service and skill development through interactive experiences. The booths included the Red Crescent health awareness station, a media archive booth, a creative literary booth, a media puzzle booth, and a handwritten message station. A panel discussion was also held with the Dean of Student Affairs and media professionals Abdulrahman Al-Sumair and Abdullah Al-Obaid. The event saw over 450 participants, enhancing their media skills through engaging experiences.

Central Arts Club Hosts Art Exhibition and Musical Operetta as Part of Student Activities Closing Event
The Central Arts Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, held an artistic event on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The program featured a visual art exhibition showcasing student works across various styles. A musical operetta followed, performed by a student choir and live band, including the university anthem and the traditional “Khatwat Al-Janoubiyah,” which was warmly received. The event concluded with a closing ceremony, a thank-you address, certificate distribution, and a video presentation highlighting key moments.

The College of Education Club concluded its 1446 AH annual activities on Tuesday, 24/10/1446 AH, at the Applied Training Lab (S018), with the presence of several faculty members. Held under the patronage of the Dean and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the event featured an exhibition on physiological and experimental psychology, along with a recognition ceremony honoring those who contributed to the club’s success. The event saw active student participation and included practical demonstrations and simplified explanations of psychological concepts. Attendees praised the organization and student efforts, emphasizing the importance of supporting such initiatives that enhance students’ academic and practical skills.

Business Club Organizes “Business Hackathon” to Promote Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Business Club (Male Section), in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Business Club (Female Section), organized the “Business Hackathon” to empower students in developing innovative entrepreneurial solutions to real-world challenges. The five-day event concluded on Sunday, 22/10/1446 AH, at the Business College Auditorium in Al-Qaraa, featuring the participation of 30 students in multiple teams and over 100 attendees, including faculty members and college officials. The hackathon was supported by experienced mentors and experts, and the judging panel included Dr. Majid Al-Odhaiman, Dr. Othman Nasr, and Mr. Mohammed Henshly.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, through the Student Care and Counseling Center and in collaboration with Ahad Rafidah Technical College, organized an awareness lecture titled “The Dangers of Drugs and Psychoactive Substances on the Individual and Society.” Delivered by Psychological Specialist Mr. Saeed Thuraifer and Mr. Ahmed Ayed Al-Shaqeefi, the session addressed the harmful effects of drug abuse and preventive measures, reflecting the Deanship’s commitment to promoting community awareness and a safe university environment.

Supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs, King Khalid University’s Disability Team participated in the Saudi Federation of University Sports Championship for Athletics and Goalball, held at King Saud University from April 22 to 26, 2025, with the participation of several Saudi universities. The team demonstrated remarkable performance marked by competitiveness and dedication, reflecting the growing prominence of university sports for students with disabilities and the university’s commitment to supporting and empowering this group athletically.
