The competitions of the Saudi University Sports Federation Swimming Championship concluded yesterday evening. The event, part of the 15th season of the Federation’s tournaments, was hosted by King Khalid University over three days at the university sports city swimming pools in Al-Fara’a, Abha. The championship saw the participation of 182 swimmers from 24 universities and colleges, under the supervision of 25 referees, competing in 17 diverse events.

The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University in collaboration with the Saudi University Sports Federation, with support from more than 30 organizers who contributed to the success of the championship, which witnessed strong competition and outstanding athletic performances.

The final results saw Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University take first place with a total of 581 points, followed by King Abdulaziz University in second place with 498 points, and King Saud University in third place with 349 points.

As part of its efforts to enhance sports activities and expand student participation, the Deanship of Student Affairs also organized a number of accompanying competitions alongside the swimming championship. These included a reciprocal table tennis competition, a chess tournament in cooperation with the Saudi Chess Federation, and a Baloot card game tournament.

Additionally, the Deanship held two educational workshops: the first titled "The Role of Sports in the Tourism Sector," presented by Dr. Khalid Al Omar, and the second titled "Entering University Physical Activity Performance Indicator Data," presented by Mr. Ali Al Muneea.
